Listen
A drop fell from the roof,
Looking down on you.
There was a knock at the door,
The house was silent
The doorbell came next. Frightened eyes.
Rocks fell into the gutter.
Looking up to see nothing.
Another drop fell,
more rocks in the gutter.
Something had to be said.
Breaking news
You needed to tell.
No turning back now
Many drops fell,
the gutter was overflowing.
Nothing could stop the drops,
the rocks would keep falling,
until the gutter collapses.
Words were said,
the truth was told,
everything makes sense.
Drops fell faster,
the gutter fell,
and it was over.
