The title may sound bad,
but I prefer to use facts
than to cover up the ugly truth.

People walk on me, they use me.
I have no problem with it.
I feel as if I am there to help
these people in their times of need.

However, I am often abused.
It will be a rainy day, people use me to get dry.
But when they step inside, there is another rug.
Why choose to give me the burden of your rain
when there's a perfectly usable mat in front of you?

They give me the rain to hold, not because they
trust me with it, but for the fact I will hold it.
The feeling people get when they see me;
it shows I chose to be a doormat.

There is no “welcome”  nor “come in”.
They just assume there to be, I haven't given them
permission to use me. But when they look down
at a doormat, they see the possibility of transferring
their own problems.

But I don't need them.
I have enough problems of my own.
