A Dream of an Idea of a Thought of A Non-wish
(excerpt from Darkness by George Byron)
“I had a dream, which was not all a dream.”
I had an idea, which was not all an idea,
but mere thought
of
what if,
what if
I could change,
not really myself
but the past
which
could
or
rather would
change me.
To change
those unpleasant moments
redo
or perhaps
prevent
the wrong,
but that would change
who I am
and who
I aspire to be
and
I like myself
...in a way,
and though
the past can be
unpleasant
that idea of a thought
I had
is not
a wish.
