~Bottles
To you these bottles are empty
Nothing but the left over air from what used to be
But I look at those bottles and guess what I see
A depressed father belonging to a broken family
A mother who couldn't give birth to her dreams
The soul of a child that just wants to be alone
I see a memory that reminds me of what I have to call home
Waking up just to find a 12 pack resting on the stove
It wasn't anywhere when I fell asleep
But they were all empty when I woke
I see the memories that come as nightmares
Dreams that make me not want to sleep
Every time I start to feel happy I realize it's just a tease
The devil seems to hate me
And your all mighty God is never pleased
There is so much hate I guess it's easier to just blame me
I know I'm not perfect
But do you really have to remind me of my worthlessness
The heats getting shut off tomorrow and my households a wreck
I wish I could just grab all those bottles
Take off and never look back
