Stars in the Sky
You sit there staring up at then
Watching them twinkling and shining
Knowing they are far, far away
But feeling as if they are so close
As if you could reach up and pull one from the sky
If you only stood up
You could hold it in you hand
And it would glow
You wouldn’t feel so small
But it’s not like that you know
They are hundreds and hundreds of thousand miles away
Too big and too hot to hold
Making you feel small
And reminding you that you are alone
