The author's comments:

This piece is about individuals viewing their bodies as an obstacle that prevents them from being who they are/what they want to be. But they don't have to be an obstacle. We, as a human race, need to work together and individually towards respecting our own bodies and respecting other people. Our bodies are a gift that enable us to accomplish tasks everyday. Let's respect them instead of hating them.
