Awake

As i opened my eyes,
I felt the calming breeze.
The darkness over powering,
forcing me back to infinity.
Each time i came back it
got harder and harder to return.
As i began to give up,
a flash of light shot through the air.
I gasped for a breath of air,
I opened my eyes,
I was awake.
