Heroes
Not all heroes have capes
Yes that’s true
They hide in plain sight
Yet you have no clue.
It may sometimes be
Just something they say
That can completely change
The course of your day.
It’s not the superpowers
That make them great
And now you realised
But it’s too late.
Now what if I told you
That the heroes are gone
There’s no more saving
Not even one soul.
The heroes got tired
Of cleaning up others mess
Don’t think it was easy
It only caused them stress.
After all most heroes
Are just human too.
There’s only so much
They’re able to do.
In that world without heroes
How will you survive
No one to keep the
Helpless people alive.
It never crossed your mind
That heroes can be broken
Hidden behind the wall
Of words left unspoken.
They kept on fighting
Only for so long
Felt that they
Could no longer be strong.
After putting up their final fight
Their world became dark
They lived to help humans
But they destroyed that spark.
