A wise man once told me
the world is a cruel place;
hierarchy and power and disgrace.
A wise man once told me
the world is a war zone;
bullying and murder and condone.
A wise man once told me
the world is an evil site;
terror and battles and fright.
A wise man once told me
the world can't be fixed;
to accept the horror in the mix!
A brave man once told me
our job is to change.
Fight for the good, and end 'deranged'

I really like the topic. I like most of your topics a lot. I also like how you said the brave man would try. I don't necessarily agree that a wise man has that view though your poem really got me to think. That's awesome. I've read a couple of your poems and though I like rhyme, I think you use it too much. You should really challenge yourself and try to do something different. Forget about rhyming and focus on the meaning of the poem. You're a fantastic poet. I just think you have the potential to do even more.
Maybe 'wise' is not all. Maybe 'wise' is just a label?
