Where i'm from
I am from the sunny days of summer spent outside in the brown, dingy dirt,
the messy, tangled, wind-blown hair,
The girl that never wanted to come inside...
I am from the camping trip that went horribly awry, that changed my young, simple life for the worse.
the girl that coward in the basement,
That feared the clouds would hurt her when it rained...
I am now the girl that’s not afraid to be her true, corky self,
the one that likes to be out in her own world,
From my red hair with dreads to my body mods of choice...
I am now the girl who has strong passions for many things.
the girl who’s free spirited,
That will do anything in my power to reach my goals...
I will become the girl that speaks for the ones that can’t;
the one who helps the threatened in the forest world,
To protect the animals that my heart pounds with passion for…
I will become the girl that does what she loves in the humid, dry deserts of Africa,
the girl that won’t fear the clouds,
The girl with the messy, tangled, wind-blown hair…
