I didn't even see it coming
the sweet phrases,
the stupid jokes,
I just thought it was friendliness,
mindless flirting even.
But then we played a game,
Truth or Dare
Then the kiss came,
and until then
I hadn't noticed how I felt
That simple action caught me,
I was on cloud-nine,
yet falling into space
all at the same time.
