Save Me
Rain beats a steady rhythm over my head
Droplets joining to make the blackest ocean
Filling my desperate lungs
I have no raft, no lifeguard
Nothing to free me from the thoughts
Drowning me in their endless depths
So many questions, and you without answers
Is any of this real
Or am I living a lie?
Should I trust you
Knowing of the inevitable breaking?
Nothing lasts forever
No matter how I try to change it
You’ll hurt me, you and I both know it
Everyone does
It’s breathing down my neck
I can’t let you go though
I tried, oh I tried
You’re just buried in my love too deep
So the question still remains
Will you pull me to shore
Or will you let me drown here alone?
