Mother's Waltz
Your bell laughter in the air
Makes a smile lift my cheeks
You reach down and touch my face with skin so fair
I want to hold your hand there forever
You have a light in your eyes
That can always guide me to you
The brain in your head
Contains things I never knew
Hold me tight and let’s go
Into the rain we’ll dance and spin
Then when you’re tired we’ll sink low
Lying next to me you’ll give me the biggest grin
Mom is the name you wear proudly
You’re a child’s greatest friend
Even if you do sometimes fight loudly
I know you’ll stay with me until the end
