The Sounds of School
Pencils tapping, teachers snapping,
Kids are clapping, fingers rapping.
The desk is a drum, the popping of gum,
Endless umm, annoying hum.
Blowing a nose, the water flows,
Students oppose, the loud noise grows.
A quiet moan, an ignorant groan,
Erasers are thrown, blaring trombone.
The squeak of lead, a poem is read,
Jackets are shed, papers are spread.
An obnoxious sneeze, jingle of keys,
Coughing wheeze, smart kid agrees.
Test apprehension, stupid detention,
No comprehension, pay attention!

In school I am always distracted by the noises around me, so I took it to my advantage and wrote a little poem about it.
