My Own Little Society
I look at her with my deep blue eyes.
I see who she is.
But I stand from afar
For she will never notice me.
I began to like her
I love the way she toys with her hair into a braid
Then lets it go until it's undone itself
I love the way her nose crinkles when she smiles
But I stand from afar
For she will never notice me.
I began to love her
I loved every quirky detail about her
The way she danced,
Free but strict.
The way she talks with her hands
The way she puts her family first
I loved it all,
Her flaws,
Or at least what she viewed as flaws,
I found to be perfect.
I don't stand from afar anymore
Right when I thought she wouldn't notice me,
I saw her head perk up
Our eyes met,
And for the first time ever
My dream came true
And it all started with
"Hello."
