First Time
The night we met
Was just another night.
Your friend introduced himself to mine
And they started talking.
We talked too
And I thought you were cute
So I immediatley became shy.
I followed you to sit with your group
Even though my friend left
Because you all seemed nice.
And, besides, your friend wanted to show me something.
Everyone welcomed me
And I had fun, thinking you did too.
I don't know and I will probably never know.
Your friend gave me his number
But it was yours that I wanted.
I was too shy to ask for it
So I submersed myself
In the group of people.
They treated me like a friend
Not a stranger
So I was glad.
I was sad that the night had to end.
But I would miss you the most.
