That Somebody
That smile,
that flash of brightness,
that piercing column of light,
that touch of hope and ray of sun that can shine through the storm,
reassuring you,
making you feel less alone.
This one light completes you,
it fills you with warmth,
guiding you through murky waters,
anchoring you in place,
sheltering you from the storm,
washing away the rainy day,
leaving only the blissful sun and fluttering butterflies.
This one look catapults your world into the clouds,
it gives you the strength to spread your wings and soar.
Yet this one look is so fragile,
threatening to turn to dark and shatter this floating glass world,
leaving only dangerous splinters of lost possibility.
That smile so beautiful and deep,
that look so vital to the world.
