There's only a sliver of light
From the crack of the door.
The closet is cramped with coats,
Dresses, shirts, pants and more.
There's only a sliver of light
But it's enough to show
A girl who rests in the dark,
No other place to go.
There's only a sliver of light
But it makes a dark tone:
There's a rope on the top shelf.
With her thoughts, she's alone.
