My Idea of Heroism

It’s always there for me.
Fast and Loud, or
Slow and Quiet
Either way
It helps me through the day.
It helps shape who I am
and who I want to be.
It’s there when I need it the most.
It has never failed me.
It can calm the storm in a sea of sadness.
It can breathe life into a dead day.
It’s what makes life magical for me.
No matter what,
music is always there for me.
