Journal 26
A smile overcomes my face, a new light in my eyes, a warm feeling in my heart
A feeling like ten-thousand butterflies released in my chest
like walking on clouds,
all anger aside, at least for now, just letting myself enjoy the smile on your face,
and the laughter in your big brown eyes,
Letting my fear go and just laughing along at your humor, letting myself grab your hand and playfully hit you in the arm,
letting your my smile change into a more relaxed and natural version of it’s former hesitant self,
A hug after a long day, I let you hold me there and not worry about your thoughts,
play along to the games you create, our friends grinning,
Feeling an odd and new ache as you have to leave and I am left alone,
never quite felt this way,
don’t know what this heart of butterflies is telling me, but I like the feeling of their fluttering wings
I can see your eyes in the back of my brain, an awkward smile covers my face,
my heart pounds and a soft pink tints my pale cheeks,
what is this feeling?
I may never know,
so
I will only enjoy
