Gay Peace Ideology
Gay is not a colour
Not a thread, nor a fibre
Not here for show
Not here for the glamour
Not something you wear
Nor rip up and tear
And throw away, to wisp away in the air
Nor beat out of us, protest out of us inject out of us, torment out of us
It can't be cured, but there is one treatment
100% success rate, though it's use isn't frequent
A drip flow of respectacetamol
Should cause a steady improvement
Side effects are few but include a smile,
A hug or a kiss or feelings of bliss
But it can not be found and stored in a vile
Like a magic potion in dreams gone wild
Instead it must be grown
within the heart
At first it may be scarce, but at least it's a start
For The gift of solidarity
Today is much of a rarity
And Though it costs nothing, few afford the charity
For those who suffer, a sad story do I tell
Of being burned in tyres
Discarded in a cell
It's funny isn't it? Cuz we're all made of cells
Yet I myself, by fellow cells, have oft been sentenced to dwell
My soul eternally drenched in fire
Within the confines of hell
Simply for who I love,
and who I choose to tell.
I oft shed tears also for those who experience hell on earth
Whose grievous, dark and wicked crime is committed in their birth
And for which they are cast down to the dirt
Beaten and blood spilled in the dirt
Treated as though they are the dirt
Depleted and defeated, lying in dirt
Of the very same earth
From whence came every one of us
So sometimes we're choiceless
We're choked till we're voiceless
We self-inflict a new ailment, when we undergo concealment
Even there we're not safe though
Locked away in the shadows
They surround us with pitchforks
Aim their bows and their arrows
Their words are their ammo
And they'll strike us with a terrifying screech
Resent and disregard awry in their speech
THAT one's in the closet
As though I'm an object
Inanimate. Inadequate.
Who's value you can calculate
But instead I'd like to postulate that it's you who's in the closet.
Browsing through each aisle
Of anachronistic style
Laughing all the while
While I'm at it, I'd just like to posit
It's you who's in denial, of a sacred prophet
Who perished for sin
Gave warmth to the cold
Wisdom to the young
And youth to the old
Shared with the wealthy the gift of humility
Condemned no prostitute, no beggar no disability
In the golden rule, we find eternal wealth
Not physical, but a soulful health
The essential value of reciprocity
To instantly abate, feelings of animosity
All the afflictions I described before
Are things that no person should ever endure
Which is why I take the view
What would Jesus do
I tell you not as a story, not as a tale
I tell you to implore thee, beg thee not to fail
Beg you not to ignore me
For the message has become frail
Believer or not revere our saviour
Whose love was unremitting, whose love did not waver
Believer or not, it's the message Jesus gave us
Believer or not it's a message which will save us
So what can I do ? You may begin to ponder
Look at me and look not yonder!
The solution is simple! Let's emulate his behaviour!
As you love yourself, show love to your neighbour
Not a matter of hardship
Not a matter of labour
Inexplicable, insurmountable
Unremitting pleasure
No. Matter. Who. You. Are.
Tall or short, small or broad
Nothing can be solved with the edge of a sword
Black or white, beyond between
Let's talk this out and keep our hands clean
Fat, thin, large and slim
Heavy or light, it's not worth a fight.
No. Matter. Who. You. Are.
A person who's gay, a person who's straight
I'm so much more than just a topic for debate
Worth more than remarks and campaigns full of hate
Which will never abate
Unless we start to demonstrate
That it is not us who deviate
No
I speak of deviation from the essence of human nature
Which is happening everywhere, in a plight of great grandeur
The deviation is really within animosity
Lack of investment in unity and reciprocity
Positivity, love and universal harmony
Throw out the dictation, reject the tyranny
It's a crime unto ourselves, oh woe the irony
