As with the sun’s last gleam,
Bore on my mind is a great mystery.
Clear as a foggy night.
Dream of erasing all history.
Enough confusion to cause a fight.
Fight, why do we have to fight?
Grown old enough not to fight.
Hailed as the only solution.
Itching to be let free.
Just to satisfy our greed.
Keeping us from a good change.
Lost within our minds.
Minds, we need clear minds.
No where can we get without good minds.
Out of our reach.
Pushing to be let free of binds.
Quit?  We can’t quit before we teach.
Real are the challenges that we must face.
Splitting our hopes and dreams.
Troubles are found in this place.
Under the dark, to steal us away from our teams.
Vortex of ideas lost in space.
When will we realize our own dreams?
X-rays going through our brains.
You must realize your dreams.
Zones where the sun last gleams.

The author's comments:

I was inspired to write this poem when I was doing research for an English assignment last year, and I came upon this form where each line starts with the following letter in the alphabet- making it harder to write.  Lines started rushing through my head, as I wrote the first part.  After a while, I finished it.  So, I hope you enjoy it!
