I Miss You
You died today
You said you were my grandpa, I said you were my father
You took the place where my father should have been
You were there for me when I needed you
Now I am so sad I don’t know what to do
How can I survive without you
I love you
I have you around my neck for safe keeping
Where you will stay forever
I am so angry that you went away
But I know it was your time to go
You were in so much pain
And I would have done anything to make it go away
But you are now with the angels
So you can watch over mom and me
And you will be there when grandma crosses over
Wait for her at the gates and welcome her home
For she misses you dearly
The day you left god let us know you made it safe in your travel
He sent all kinds of animals to your room
He had geese fly over
The squirrels were at you window
The deer showed up just for you, to take you home
I like to think that this is the way god wanted to take you away from the ones who loved you so
Good bye, I love you
One day I will see you again
You will be there waiting for me
And we will laugh and cry because we are together again.
