Dear Mom,

I miss you, I need you.

Here I am,

Thinking of all the possibilities of you being here with me.

But I'm not crazy, I know you can't.

People say "She's a spitting image of her mother"

The little brown eyes that sparkle,

That are always filled with joy.

The smile that never fades

And that long black hair that cascades everywhere.

Nodding as if I knew what they were saying.

But now, as I stare into this photography,

I see the similarities, in the features.

What about your personality,

Your thoughts and dark secrets ?

I want to know all.

It's been said a mother's love is all a child needs

But what does a mother's love feel like?

The countless times I needed you and wish you were here.

Everything was a reminder of what I can"t have,

Everything was a reminder of you.

The others meant nothing, they weren't you.

No one can replace you.

Constantly lying and putting on a brave face,

I'm tired, Mom.
