When will it end ?
The horrors in black communties
The sexual disgrace, the beatings, the killings ,
The poverty , the hate amongst ourselves
When will it end ?
I walk around my neighborhood
With my head low in shame
Afraid if I lift it high
I will become like everyone else
Accepting to live in my horror
As I think to myself
I wish silently for it to end
When will it ?
When will it end is the question I so badly
Want answered but I do not know
