just let it go

June Gloom,
under the cloud covered
canopy in the Oregon green woods.
Raindrops roll off the trees
and into the river.
I walk along a path of
gloomy greys and lively greens.
What a contrast of colour and
emotion.
Such beauty and such despair.
Oh, much like what I feel in my chest.
Rain drops hit my forehead,
and they roll off my nose,
along with the rainfall coming from the grey storm clouds in my eyes.
Thunder rolls over the woods,
and I scream along with the Earth.
June Gloom,
is inside of me.
The big grey clouds float in through my ears,
and fill my head.
Lightning strikes my chest,
and I am shaking with the pain.
Such beauty fills the Earth,
the rainfall fills the trees with green,
and the wildflowers with red.
June Gloom,
is what I am,
such beauty in despair.
The lightning strikes me,
and here I fall into the river.
Along with the Earth,
I am part of the gloom,
oh, what beauty in despair.
June Gloom I am,
June Gloom I was.
