See It Through Her Eyes
She’s dying a slow and painful death.
We all know how her life’s going to end but all we can say is “poor little Beth…”
I want stretch my hand out beyond across this abyss.
I want to do everything I can to bring her back some fragile form of bliss.
But she’s dying and I can’t pull her back.
She sees the light while I’m stuck in the unknown black.
I reach and I reach,
But her life is past the final breach.
Her breathing slows,
I’m taking this heavy blow.
When she crosses over she will be missed by many including me,
But I’ll know she’ll be in a better place,
A place where she will be forever happy and will live in a land that we can’t see.
A place where she will never face pain or be an abandoned case.
