Excerpt from Calvin and Hobbes:
Calvin asks Mom: "Why are you crying?"
Mom: "I'm cutting an onion."
Calvin: "Life must be hard when you start anthropomorphizing your vegetables."

Humanity’s hopes come together to form the night sky, lit with stars
Each star is a hope, a dream, a wish
Of a person from down here on the Earth.
The Milky Way paints a bright stripe overhead, testament to the aligned hopes of so many
While others, the minority, lie scattered in the far reaches of the heavens,
Speaking for their chosen unconformity.
Our faces upturned, our eyes shining bright, consumed with passion, dazzled, we are so ready to believe
That this star is meant for us
No point in even looking at the billions of other stars out there in the universe
If we tear our eyes away for even a second we may lose track of where we’re going,
Lose faith in our enterprise,
And never reach the ultimate goal.

So we confidently continue on our way. Just follow the star, and we’ll get there soon.
We know what’s what.
We know what’s best.
This star is leading us to happiness.
