I wait, waiting,
Just for you to come around,
I stand, desperate,
Want to feel your warmth surround,
The wind streaks,
Pokes holes in cheeks,
I wait, waiting,
Just for you to come around,
And when you come,
the world is good,
I no longer feel misunderstood,
There is no rush,
There is no storm,
Until the night comes,
And you must go,
I cry, crying,
Go back where you belong,
The tide can’t stay,
For long
