We’re not asking for perfection, but that’s what we’re looking for
If you don’t have all A’s you might as well stop trying because B’s are second best
And you better be athletic because nobody wants a pathetic klutz for a teammate
It’s what’s on the inside that counts, but let’s be honest, nobody ever fought to save the ugly princess
Do all you can to stay healthy except, of course, when you are with your friends
You don’t want them to think you’re so conceited that you would care about your body image
God is number one, but don’t be afraid to push him aside for a drink or two
Talk to people enough so they don’t think you’re strange and be strange enough so that they don’t think you’re basic
Try your hardest, but just remember that nobody likes a try hard
Confidence is key, but big heads never fit into the lock
This is perfection: the mess we have made

This poem is meant to explain all of the pressures society places on us in a different way. I wanted to get across the message "nobody's perfect" in an innovative way.
