i wished upon a single star
a wish to make me feel wanted
then you came along and i felt haunted
you stuck close as if you were my ghost
but eventually i fell i fell for my ghost
he's as warm as i am cold
maybe i`m the ghost
lost in a world of love and hate
but now i`m happy
in a wicked twist of fate
now that star has fell
it burned and made my life a living hell
do i hate or do i love
do i want to go away or to hold
you made me happy
i thought it was true
those three damned words... i love you

Wishing upon a star is pretty cliche, nice opening, but still kinda cliche. The comparing him to a ghost is a bit off for me. It's a nice idea of a simile, but it's just awkward in this poem. I'm lost on the part about the star. Like.. What? Twist of fate is also a bit cliche. Poems like this are often very similar, so take your god-given talent and make it all it's worth. Keep it up!
