Tired of Treason
Competitive school is code for strain and anxiety.
grades don't reflect achievement, they reflect failure.
head down, face up, take notes, and
don't shut up because that will effect your participation grade
keep your eyes down and your pencil moving and remember that if you step outside the dotted lines on the parallel lines of success,
the ones created by the culture brewed inside this valley of knowledge and stress,
you will fail
and fall
and die
and not bring honor to your family
so keep your chin up and your soul in a cryptic part of your being were you will not be able to find it ever again
and,
just remember
your childhood is about college
getting in
and getting out
with honors.
