Get your facts right first, then you can distort them as you please. - Mark Twain

What does it mean to me now
It won't buy back my parents' wedding vows
That diamond band has turned to rust
Another marriage bites the dust
Crashing on a barren plain
Are tears of much disdain
Fortune has been depleted
And emotional bankruptcy greeted
I follow a trail of regrets
Not in search of sentiments
Just to buy myself
What money cannot buy any of us
I am purchasing an opportunity to learn
Even though sometimes it burns
If not for anger endured
My over sensitivity won't be deterred
Money has no power
It drains livelihood
Like any drug would
Everything I lack
Money can't bring back.

I know people who love material wealth. They are emotionally impoverished. Just poor beyond belief inside themselves.
