Leather bound round and round
Collecting dust and dust
Sitting lonely all alone on a shelf beyond the sun
It's cover tattered and cracked as it sits on the racks
Left closed and sealed it's words unnoticed
It's chapters forgotten
And broken it shall stay
For no one gives it the time of day
Yet untold is it's story
Lost among the thousands
Not given the chance of glory
Of what riches beyond the filth may lay
So
Why is it left there
Why is it alone
No one knows because
It is yet another
Forgotten book

The author's comments:
This poem is a symbolism to all those people who are overlooked and pushed aside due to what's on the outside. Stay strong because you are just as important. It is what is on the inside that matters.
