A Banquet of Travesty
Tell me what I know not of; tell me how it is
This banquet of travesty, of knowledge; it escapes.
I find myself in childhood capes,
A memory of shapes
Swirl vaguely in the background.
Some days you may hear a sound
Floating round and round
Up to the waning moon.
Your troubles travel soon.
Don’t you remember of this land?
For it lies hand in hand,
Upon the majesty of sand
That is failing.
