Favorite Quote:
&quot;And growing up doesn&#039;t mean anything if you never believed that ridiculous things were possible.&quot;<br /> -Denice Frohman from her poem &#039;The Rim&#039;

Moments you never want to forget,
the ones you never want to end,
they slip away, through slick fingers, over cliff edges.
They shatter fragile hearts
when they end, and leave you in the dark.
You’re left sitting alone reminiscing the start,
the start if the moment.

All my life I've been forgotten.
Forgotten faces, missing names.
Every time I’m ripped away,
they forget mine, they forget me.
I’m left with burning papers and
a pile of ash.
That’s what’s left of their promises.

Finally, you feel like you found home
with a friend or a lover,
you forget what it’s like to be alone.
People talk about moving on,
erase their memories because the past is—

All you want to do hold on.
Hold on to those you've grown to love.
Now it’s too late, you’re gone.

(they’re gone).

All my life I've been forgotten.
Forgotten faces, missing names.
Every time I’m ripped away,
they forget mine, they forget me.
I’m left with burning papers and
a pile of ash.
That’s what’s left of their promises.

Sometimes I still feel like a kid,
knowing nothing, feeling immature.
But sometimes I feel I’m in my last days,
as if all this heartbreak has made me age.
Found a friend, so close, never thought it’d end,
can’t stand to see her go.
I think I love her, but no,
Too close too late,
‘cause you see…
All my life I've been forgotten.
‘Bout to become yet another missing name, forgotten face.
A shadow in their memory
left to crumble in the background.
My ash has fallen to the ground,
and I’m not even gone.

Does it matter? No.
They don’t see me anymore.
They can’t see my pain,
and I know that all I’ll have to gain
is a clean slate in a new place
with an empty heart, a blank start.

Moments you never want to forget,
the ones you never want to end,
they slip away,
and when they end,
they leave you sitting in the dark
reminiscing the start.

The start of the moment.

There isn't much to say, but when you lose people, you lose them. They don't have to die, they don't even have to leave the place you live. Sometimes they just...slip away.
