he is one hand
on the steering wheel
the other laced
in mine

he is that
deep breath
i need when it
all stops making sense

he is hours
on the phone
without running
out of words

he is crazy and
wild stories
never fail to
make me laugh

at times he is
my polar opposite
but always what
i need
