“Today is the day to start. Realize that you are not forever. Begin today.”
– Anonymous quote on a bathroom stall

Phrases scrawled on a bathroom stall
Holy scriptures of adolescence
Psalms of hormone-driven emotion
Etched in pencil
Or pink or black marker
I love so and so
Inscriptions of hope
Love not war
An occasional cruel word
The tribulations and triumphs
Of the teenage soul
Impassioned phrases
Seeming so insignificant
Meaning so much
Behind each of these statements
Lies a poem unwritten

I love this. It makes you want to walk into a stall with opened eyes just to see the true poetry etched into the walls.

"Behind each of these statements/Lies a poem unwritten"

I've noticed the same thing. Who will write those poems?

I absolutly adored this.

Most people dont even try to understand the teenage mind.

There is a poem or even a story behind the thingswritten, and people always disregard it.

You captured the thought extremly well! I really enjoyed reading it.

Captivating, and beautiful.

Any teenager of this generation can relate!

Keep writing, Your going places!:]

This is such a great poem because its one of the few that makes you think. The next time I go into a bathroom stall, I'm going to read someones secrets and thoughts displayed for all to read, and I'm going to think. About them, about the story behind it, about this poem. And then I'm going to write. Thank you for that. And please keep writing.
