As A Friend

I love you,
but not in the way
my romantic poetry suggests.
You broke my heart
but promised to
“Still be friends.”
We’ve both moved on.
I’m with someone new.
Someone a million times
better than you.
And it would help
if you went away
and I say this
as a friend.
