Favorite Quote:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- John 3:16

Sticks and stones
Can’t break my throne
Built up from the finest gold

I earned it from your broken bones
As you bled in crimson tones

And now here I am
At your tombstone
Begging on my hands and knees
For the only thing I ever wanted
So maybe now I can sleep in peace

I thought you loved me
It was what you said
Every night
Before you lay in bed

But it was all just pretend
So I cut off your head
So then
You could never leave me

But now
You see
I’m still so empty

Left without the only thing
I ever wanted from you

But I’ll search near and far
To find where you buried your heart
Because your love was the only thing I asked of you
But it’s the only thing you couldn’t give me

So when I lay in bed
Above your severed head
I’ll tell you
I love thee
And sip on bitter tea
Singing
I never wanted to be
Your Red Queen

This poem was inspired by Tim Burton's interpretation of Alice and Wonderland, and how the Red Queen in his movie, had cut off her husband's head, so he would never be able to leave her. I dont know it it's my best poem, but it really does mean a lot to me so I hope you like it.
