Tonight
Tonight as I shut off my last light,
The day finally takes a break for the night.
This seems like it will never end,
Hopefully the happiness is around the bend.
Thoughts are filling my head,
That cannot be easy to think about in my bed.
The breeze from my window surrounds me,
Just like a busy bumble bee.
Wrapped tight in my sheets tonight,
There I lay thinking with fear and fright.
Everything has an end,
Which could be around the bend.
Twist and turns, troubled thoughts,
Most are happy, but some are not.
As the night is almost done.
Oh! Now there is the sun.
