The Woods
Into the trees I walk,
Where I will go will be a shock.
Crack, crunch, creak,
Through the bushes I go.
Where there are leaves and trees there is a road,
Not an ordinary road but a friendly toad.
I sit and I stare,
For who knows why.
Then I began to cry.
All the toad did was sit and watch,
Made a few chirps and leaped off.
I look around,
There was no such sound.
My heart filled with fear,
For my home seemed nowhere near.
A shout and yelp,
I started looking for help.
In the distance a cry,
Brought tears to my eyes.
For I was found,
Had just been around.
