I merely scratch
the surface on my skin,
clawing my chest open,
revealing the pumping organ
Tearing it open I find
everything I have ever
loved and everything
that has ever made me
hate.
I attempt to take out all
the evil, cleansing myself.
I want to be pure,
I want to feel clean.
The blood pumping through my veins,
feeding my heart
with every beat.
I want to feel a certain loveliness.
But no matter what I do
I will always feel this filth.
