I'm on a boat
I'm so tired so I just sit and float away
I watch the trees blow this way and that
And I see the fruits ripe and fat
All I can think is this is a trap
This river and these surroundings are too pretty
This is not reality I can feel it in my bones
But I push this thought aside as my fingers touches the stones on the side
of the riverbank
This utopia it makes me feel safe
It feels as though I'm wrapped in a blanket and all the grief is gone
All the hate and anger diminished
All the god and happiness replenished
We live in a world so unpretty
We like to make jokes that are so witty
We hide our truths in our humor
We destroy each other with the most vicious rumors
We are so precise and so accurate in breaking things we could say our jobs
are harder than surgeons who remove tumors
Why is this world so cruel?
Have all these documentaries that talk about how we stress ourselves
But yet we take these studies and put them on the back shelves of our minds
We disagree with these scientific finds
But we need to break out of these illusions
The truth of the matter is that more and more of us keeping dying
And no matter how hard we are trying there is no denying that we are the
problem
Instead of giving answers we ask questions and instead of helping we're
hurting
It's time for us to lend a helping hand and to create rather than to
destroy
We want our future generations to multiply not divide
So it is up to us to make these future preparations and to protect our
reputations
I have faith in the human race and if we chase our dream of a better world
just a little bit longer we will all end up a little bit stronger
