i am only human, and all that i
have to offer is laid bare in front of
you: all i have are words, the only
magic that i believe in.
sometimes i am tired and silent; sometimes
i clench my jaw and all of the words get
trapped somewhere between my mind
and the air that threatens to suffocate me
but i will defend my thoughts and i will
release these words when it is time
and i will speak until the only things left in
this world (in me) are words, if that’s what it
takes to solve problems, to quench the fire
because the world is just a really big family
and one day i’d like to meet every single
member, before we all go down in flames.
