unwinding MAG
you're a dot on the horizon, and i suppose
that's all i ever was to you.
i watch as your dot grows smaller, smaller
and smaller still
and something inside of me loosens
the screw holding my ribs tight together,
or the thread that winds my thoughts
into a compressed knot in the back of my
head; i suppose they're both loosening
and for the first time i can exhale and i
can taste the bliss of not having to
agonize over something that has been
rapidly disappearing for all this time,
go ahead, i quite like this sort of unwinding
and i'll watch you disappear. (or
maybe i won't)
