a decision to make
six miles above my head
the clouds are deciding
whether they are heavy
enough to rain, and if
it is cold enough to snow.
six miles underneath me
the ground is deciding
whether today is a good
day to collapse, and if
it is finally time to sink.
i am sitting in my chair
trying my best to decide
if i want to be like a cloud
or more like the ground
and if i should just sink
or if i should thunderstorm.
(maybe today i want
to blizzard;
maybe i just want to
earthquake)
