At top velocity the northern winds tumble over and duck under this callused heart
Peeling away at the exterior at unreadable speeds
Yarn slowly unravels to determine a sovereign planets orbit
The slightest tracing of messages on skin win me over
Staying sober to envelop another pure soul with sincerity
Craning my neck for the whispers all men would envy to hear
To know she's betrothed to be married would gut out their good nature
She is most sublimed so clever in prose the sentences seen on the backs of spirits who jealously
Bob and weave between headstone after headstone
In immolation so many different paths of life
Swelled up in those feeble brains
And now they push and shove at the slowly dying romantics just like us

It is I who has really romanticized the occasion
Cutting fanciful childlike emotions from storybooks
And pasting them into our last wills
She can neither ingest faith nor hope, but dispenses both in a large daily dose to those who need it most
She is untouched by grace and swarmed by cruelty
But somehow is the goddess of sympathy
Traveling through spines weighed down by knowing everything
I take the liberty of meditating enough for two
So peaceful currents that curl into pleasing vibes
Enamor a once listless stare into bewilderment

All of this perfection remained invisible to even the most haunted clairvoyant
I was the apple of her eye before being put in his stead
If I'd only made contact the very sunrise
I'd have resigned myself to this embodiment of gorgeousness and never turned back with a gaping jaw
Catching flies and regrets
But the fates have their reasons for dragging out
The summer nights of unnecessary fights and quarrels
With companions who can't protect us
Whose companionship is only a temporary redirection from an instant
Fall into love with the benevolent gaze
Crying out of overwhelming happiness longing for the days when I no longer have to stare
Face to painted face in frame

When every single orb of light is carefully dotted in Cimmerian skies
Underneath will lay the crest of glistening snowfall
And deeper still the ever-changing colors of the eyes
That captures so many sighs
And begs for one breath to keep to her side
I should staunchly synchronize my last statement of oxygen
With her premature pulse for a gridlock of lips
To giver her all I've ever aspired to be
Even if it quickens the process of my arrival to where ghosts dwell
Shape myself into the bulwark
Keeping precious that smile from licentious creatures
Unchaste who've turned your image into false idolatry
If I falter for the time it takes a speck of dust to be just that in a gale
Let the right one come to pass
Just know profound beauty would lead me to topple over pillars of the sanctuary far off in space
Freeze over the hell pushing up gardens at our feet

I now understand why your vivid dream of our kiss against that gray wall collapsed
Promised you this poem for a promise in return and now all I see is the heel-toe heel-toe
Far away like I'm someone you ought not know
The crushing blow of stilettos evacuating
Dropping a purse for another stranger to pick it up
Spinning pirouettes so that black dress lets every
Male know you're a low self esteem project to work on

Spectacular performance you know you really had me fooled
For a second I could have sworn that every time
You cupped my face you were genuine
I played my part of the uninformed butt end of the joke
So by your leave I'll return to my back row seat
It takes talent to turn thinking none of one's self into thinking you're too good for anyone that
Comes around so conceited because you think too little of your life

It was the loudest tip-toeing around soft explosions
Ready to detonate when you've had enough
