“Damn”

I said as I trudged by your hidden presence, in what felt like the coldest and darkest hallway

On a Tuesday afternoon

You looked down at your toes, and pretended I was a speck of dust

And you held your wall up so high, not even Rapunzel’s hair would reach

You are like the moon, always hidden away

Pretending that you swim in fields of pastel flowers and precious butterflies

But in reality, your mind is like hell

And you may ask how I know what hell is like

But maybe I’m already there

Without you by my side

Oh my gosh. I cannot express to you how much I like this. The beginning is powerful and captured my attention right away, and then the rest of it was well thought out and on point all the way through. I liked where you made reference to Repunzel, very clever. Basically the whole thing is just awesome, pleasure to read :)
