The Earth, the Sky and Me
Dark clouds swirl,
Bringing the promise of rain,
I tilt my head,
Ready to receive,
Aching memories,
Go back to a time,
When we were our own master,
The earth, the sky, and me.
They hit my face,
Warm drops of purity,
They make clean marks upon me,
I open my mouth,
To receive blessings,
For the earth, they sky, and me.
Then as quickly as it has come,
It leaves,
The clouds hide away,
And I am left,
Empty,
Barren,
Like all around me,
The earth, the sky, and me.
